Bharat Electronics Limited, a Navaratna Company and India’s premier professional Electronics Company under the Ministry of Defence, requires the following personnel on contract basis, for EVM production for Export Manufacturing, SC & US, Military Radars and Military Communication SBUs of Bengaluru Complex:
NOTE: 4% of the posts will be reserved for Persons with Disability (PwD).
1.0 The upper age limit mentioned above is for General & EWS candidates. The age limit will be relaxable for SC & ST candidates by 5 years and for OBC candidates by 3 years. Candidates belonging to PwD category, having minimum 40% disability or more will get 10 years’ relaxation in addition to the relaxation applicable to the categories mentioned here.
2.0 Terms of Engagement: Project Engineers will be engaged for an initial period of 2 years, which may be extended for another 2 years (upto a maximum of 4 years) based on project requirement and individual performance. Candidates will be paid a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 35,000/- per month for the 1st year and Rs. 40,000/- for 2nd year. In the event of extension of contract, the remuneration shall be- Rs. 45,000/- for 3rd year and Rs. 50,000/- for
4th year.
Trainee Engineers will be engaged for an initial period of 1 year, which is extendable for another 2 years (upto a maximum of 3 years) based on project requirement and individual performance. Candidates will be paid a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 25,000/- per month for the 1st year and in the event of extension of contract, the remuneration shall be Rs. 28,000/- for 2nd year and Rs. 31,000/- for the 3rd year.
3.0 Qualification: for Project Engineer- I and Trainee Engineer –I:
4 years full time B.E / B. Tech Engineering course from a reputed Institute/University in the Engineering disciplines of Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Telecommunication/Telecommunication / Communication/ Mechanical/Electrical/Electrical & Electronics. First Class is the indicated qualification for General, OBC and EWS candidates and Pass Class for SC, ST and PwD candidates.
4.0 Post qualification Experience as on 01.08.2021:
Trainee Engineer – 1
Fresh Engineering graduates in the indicated disciplines may also apply. Freshers should have completed 8th semester examinations and all other requirements for award of Engineering Degree in
2021 and should produce Provisional Degree Certificate / Engineering Degree Certificate at the time of joining (probable date of joining is October 2021). Candidates who are currently still pursuing Engineering Degree or have backlog papers from previous semesters, need not apply.
Project Engineer – I
2 years relevant post qualification industrial experience. Only relevant post qualification experience will be considered. The decision of the selection committee, with respect to relevance of experience will be final. Work experience indicated without supporting documents, will not be considered. Candidates with
teaching / research experience need not apply.
5.0 SELECTION PROCEDURE:
a) Candidates should meet the qualifying criteria as specified in the advertisement and their online application should be accepted.
b) A merit list will be prepared, based on the aggregate percentage obtained in BE / B. Tech and work experience, as indicated below:
• 75% marks will be allotted for aggregate marks scored in BE / B. Tech.
• 10% marks will be allotted for relevant work experience. (2.5 marks for min. stipulated work experience and additional 1.25 marks for every additional 6 months of relevant experience, upto a max of 10 marks)
Candidates will be shortlisted for the interviews based on the above, in the ratio of 1:5. 15% marks will be allotted for interview. Candidates have to compulsorily provide the CGPA conversion to percentage of marks, as per the guidelines provided by the concerned University. Failure to do so, will result in disqualification.
c) The list of candidates shortlisted for the interviews will be made available on the BEL Website.
Candidates are required to comply with the instructions indicated in the call letter. Video based interviews will be conducted for shortlisted candidates.
d) The results of the final selection will be available on BEL website.
6.0 HOW TO APPLY:
a) Candidates who are desirous of applying for the above posts may apply online by clicking the relevant link provided against the advertisement.

b) Candidates are required to enter all information correctly in the online application form and verify the same before submission, as changes shall not be permitted after submission of the application form.
7.0 Application fee:
a) Project Engineer-I: General, EWS and OBC candidates are required to remit an amount of
Rs.500/-
b) Trainee Engineer-I: General, EWS and OBC candidates are required to remit an amount of
Rs.200/-
c) The application fee should be remitted through SBI Collect link provided. Candidates are requested to read the details and screenshots for making the payment. Candidates applying for both Project Engineer and Trainee Engineer posts are required to remit the fees separately for each post.
d) Candidates can also make the payment by approaching SBI branch. You have to select SBI branch in the payment option and download pre-printed challan generated through SBI Collect and deposit the application fee (as applicable) plus applicable bank charges in any SBI Branch. The candidate should ensure to obtain the seal and signature of the bank official.
e) General, OBC and EWS candidates have to enter the “SBI Collect reference No.” generated after payment, in the Online Application Form. SC/ST/ PwD candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
f) Candidates may go through all instructions and eligibility criteria carefully before remitting Application Fee and submitting the application. Fee once paid will not be refunded. Applications of candidates, who do not remit the prescribed application fee, will not be considered.
8.0 Documents to be uploaded along with the application by candidates :
a) 10th Standard marks card (as proof of date of birth)
b) B.E / B. Tech Engineering Degree certificate (as applicable), clearly indicating the discipline and class obtained.
c) All semester marks cards or consolidated marks card.
d) Caste / Tribe / Community / Disability / Economic status certificate in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS respectively. Candidates claiming reservation under any of the above categories are required to submit the certificate in the prescribed format. The formats of various certificates are provided as links to the advertisement. Candidates belonging to OBC category should produce the certificate issued on or after 01.08.2020.
e) Post qualification work experience certificate/s from previous / current employer is compulsory.
Where current employment certificate is not produced, the Offer of current appointment, Employee ID proof and latest pay slip should be compulsorily attached.
f) Candidates working on permanent / fixed tenure basis in PSUs / Govt. organizations should compulsorily submit the application through proper channel or produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ at the time of the interview.
9.0 GENERAL:
a) The postings will be done based on the Company’s requirement.
b) Selected candidates are required to be covered under a medical insurance scheme for a sum of Rs. 2 lakhs per annum and submit the same on joining. In addition to the remuneration indicated, a consolidated amount of Rs. 10,000/- per year will be paid towards expenses like medical insurance premium, Attire allowance, Stitching charges, footwear allowance, etc.
c) Only Indian nationals need apply.
d) The posts indicated above may vary based on the actual requirement at the time of selection.
e) There will be no separate communication to any candidates on their non-selection at any stage.
f) Candidates whose specialization mentioned in the Degree certificate does not tally with the branch mentioned in the online application will not be considered for interview.
g) Decision of BEL in all matters regarding eligibility of the candidate, the stages at which such scrutiny of eligibility is to be undertaken, qualification and other eligibility norms will be final and binding on the candidate.
h) BEL reserves the right to debar / disqualify any candidate at any stage of the selection process for any reason what so ever.
i) Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
j) Candidates may also be deployed to work on other projects / outstation sites, based on exigencies of work.
